Thanks for stopping back for Week 9. Cash was a smash again in week 8 and the pieces were in place for fun tournament finishes, but I didn’t personally have any of the correct combos. Hoping some subscribers put a proper combo together. I have to start this week off with apologies for the article being early and not having the desired amount of news before…...
After some weeks of Fight Night cards lacking real star power, we get just a mammoth PPV card that will just be a joy to watch. We have 12 fights and the prelims could legitimately be the top of a Fight Night card. I will be at a buddy’s wedding Thursday through Saturday, meaning I will be offering cash thoughts, picks and bets early this
Thanks for stopping back for Week 8. Week 7 saw a massive divide on cash and tournament results. For the second time this season, my cash lineup was my best lineup and cashed everything easily while tournaments suffered. If you’re familiar with me, you know I’ve always been a tournament player and never paid much attention to cash until this season to level out the…...
No need to sugarcoat this one. This card leaves a lot to be desired from a marketability perspective, and with an ugly main event headlining just 11 fights, it also leaves much to be desired from a DFS perspective. The nature of the main event makes cash difficult as there will be hard decisions on whether to fade what seems like bad chalk, and tournaments
Last week saw the first hiccup in cash games on the season. I cashed about half of my head-to-heads but did not get to the cash line in double-ups. Tournaments also did not go well, and it resulted from one late change. The Jay Glazer report that Tyreek Hill would be rotated in moved me off of him and onto Kupp in most spots, and that…...
UFC on ESPN 6 in Boston: DraftKings and Betting Breakdown We get a fun card here, buoyed by the rescheduling of the no-contest Mexico City main event as the co-main event. Per Vegas, the most unlikely fight on the card to end inside the distance sits at just +170, and these 13 fights should be entertaining ones to watch. The nature of the main event with
Welcome back for week 6. Fortunately, we saw Week 5 get us to 5-for-5 in cash on the season, but it was a rough week for tournaments. This week projected to be better for tournaments as we have specific games to attack unlike last week, and there are some juicy standalone plays in the lesser games. Top Games Falcons at Cardinals At the time of…...
Well, this is quite a change. We get 14 fights this week, which is quite a welcome change from the 11 and 12 fight cards we’ve had almost exclusively. This is a much better top-to-bottom card compared to the PPV last week, with the main event not being a close call like it was last week. We do, however, have some drama surrounding the main
This is an odd main slate for DFS purposes in the sense that every single game’s betting total is under 50 points, meaning there isn’t a game that will create chalk exposures. The fact of the matter is we don’t have the absolutely lucrative games to attack this week the way we have the past couple of weeks, particularly for our cash lineups. What we do have…...
We had the misfortune of losing a fight, so this PPV card is down to just 11 fights. Be aware this likely leads to chopping at the top of tournaments and lowers the potential ceiling of tournament entries, particularly MME. This card is a massive draw in Australia, but is a run of the mill PPV everywhere else. If you’re selective on the cards you
We smashed cash again in the Week 3 writeup. My cash lineup hit 206 — we will look to continue that trend and get to 4-for-4 on the year this week. We’re going to start with games to attack again this week. Every Chiefs game is going to be an obvious and wildly popular one. But his week offers another game that is generally viewed…...
We get a daytime card in Denmark on Saturday at 11AM EST, and they have assembled a fun card for both viewing and DFS purposes. The smallest inside the distance line on the card is +140 — we can look forward to fun finishes and big DK scores. This card is so much better than last week’s Mexico City fiasco and one to have fun
Games To Attack This weekly piece is being submitted a little later than normal this week, and there is a news cycle reason for that. I wanted to be sure Cam Newton was ruled out and that the Panthers would have an upgrade at quarterback in Kyle Allen ($4,000). It’s no secret the Panthers have high-end skill-position weapons, and they now get a signal-caller to unlock…...
Well, we have a fight card I guess. This one is bottom of the barrel for overall quality of fighters and not even the main event has anything resembling title implications in any weight class. Be sure to note the elevation as this is a large factor for cardio and gas purposes for every single fighter, further adding another variable. I will take each fight
Welcome back for Week 2. We did a pretty great job of identifying the proper plays in Week 1 and everyone should have been quite profitable with the core of players offered. There was a point of emphasis in Week 1 of separating the great plays from just the good ones as early salaries created an overabundance of strong plays. Somewhat surprisingly, that will be…...
Give me as many Gaethje main events as we can possibly have! It’s always a pleasure when we have one of the most exciting fighters in the world wrapping up a card. This will be the first writeup with a new format for tournament exposures. It will be for fight night cards for starters and depending on feedback, may become the permanent format. I will
We have survived another offseason and an NFL Sunday is finally upon us. In what has become a regular occurrence, we have the most incorrect salary pricing that we will see all season. This happens because of the early release of contests and salaries in an attempt to fill the large tournaments typical of Week 1. We always have a longer list of players in…...
The UFC chose the international cash in for the unification of the lightweight title to occur in Abu Dhabi. This brings us an odd start time for a pay-per-view event, 10:15 a.m. EST with the PPV portion starting at 2 p.m. EST. Be sure to make a note of that. We have a full 13 fights which makes large tournament entry far more attractive. This
I hope you’re not a big fan of the regular sleep schedule this week. This card kicks off at 3 a.m. on the East Coast. It features a whopping nine fighters making their promotional debut and another four making just their second walk to the octagon. There also looks to be a few high-level underdog salaries to pay as we already have one salary underdog that
With the peak of redraft season on our doorstep, both high-volume and casual players will be partaking in the yearly madness of both live and online drafts against the full spectrum of ability levels and sobriety. Whether you’re participating in one league and playing for fun or participating in many and are highly competitive, it’s always more fun to win. To help the winning process,…...
