With the the NFL draft still a few weeks away I thought it might be a good time to take a look what Dallas offers as a landing spot for a rookie running back–while we still have clear heads. If, as many suspect, Dallas spends a high pick on a RB, my suspicion is that the excitement surrounding this runner would quickly push his price well beyond current market value (particularly if the RB selected is Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon). But is this excitement warranted? DeMarco Murray certainly demonstrated that there’s value to be tapped in the Dallas backfield, but with Murray gone, how translatable is that value to a Rookie RB?
