Every Sunday from Week 12 to Week 17 can make an argument for “most important,” but FFPC semifinal weekend may have an inside track at the claim. The prizes for finalists are much higher than for the third-place contestants, and for teams without an automatic bid to the $1 million sprint, it’s a straightforward must-win.
Last week, I mentioned getting seven of 11 Main Event teams into the playoffs. Those teams went 6-1 on Thanksgiving weekend, with all three non-qualifiers progressing and staying alive. Getting six of 11 teams into the finals is obviously a fun and fluky result, but it’s also a validation of our player and prospect evaluation process, which leaned heavily on Jayden Daniels, Brock Bowers, and Bucky Irving as must-draft rookies.
Over the last several months, Ben Gretch and I have done several exercises projecting 2025 early-round ADP.
Today I thought I’d contrast that with my way-too-early 2025 rankings. It was a fun way to process the elite performances from Week 13 and how they fit into the always evolving fantasy rankings landscape.
