Justin Herrera uses the RotoViz tools to bring you the top plays and some under-the-radar options for the FanDuel main slate.
This weekly article is a deep dive into some guys with exploitable matchups, something to prove, or who are just great deals on FanDuel. The goal is always to help you win money on a week-to-week basis. Barring that, at least you can have some fun playing DFS, in which case this article can help you get started on the road to profitability. Each week I’ll use the RotoViz tools to suggest top plays and sleeper picks for each position on FanDuel.
Quarterbacks
MUST-HAVE: JUSTIN HERBERT – $8,300
Justin Herbert has a lot of “analysts” questioning his ability, but pay these people no mind. Herbert is a stud and has played accordingly this year. He’s the QB6 after six weeks and has the highest PPG average with 23.4. Herbert has thrown the third-most deep ball attempts (28) and the fifth-most red-zone attempts (32). Herbert has been the whole offense so far. Our Game Splits App shows that Herbert has played particularly well against the Chiefs, averaging a whole five more points when playing his favorite rivals.
SLEEPER: SAM HOWELL – $7,400
Sam Howell is averaging 17.7 fantasy points per game — aside from a meltdown against the Buffalo Bills, he’s been really good. Howell is fifth in pass attempts (214), ninth in yards (1,500), and eighth in air yards (1,668). He’s everything you’d want in a sleeper/value pick in DFS. He’s got the upside this week playing the Giants, who have the second-fewest takeaways (5) and the fewest sacks (5).
