Dynasty Command Center 2023: Week 3
Dynasty Rankings Shake-Up
Puka Nacua has been a trendy name for a decade.
Aaron Rodgers, Nick Chubb, and J.K. Dobbins used to be players in the NFL.
Kareem Hunt plays for the Browns again.
I can’t believe this NFL season has only been going for two weeks. So much has happened. And yet, those of us who have been playing dynasty fantasy football for a few years or more know that all of these changes are but a drop in the bucket compared to what’s still to come over the next 16 weeks of action.
I’ve been talking about the importance of reacting to new data on the Dynasty Command Center Podcast. Finding the line between hyperactivity and and total stasis can sometimes feel like more of a gut check than a real process, but if you ignore the trends for too long then the season (and your dynasty rosters with it) will have moved on and left you holding the bag.
With that in mind, I’m working through my big dynasty rankings shakeup of the season.
Let’s get the big one out of the way. Puka Nacua slots in at 83 overall and WR36.
Some other key movers:
Quarterback
UP
Tua Tagovailoa (QB7), the current passing yards leader, moves into a tier with Joe Burrow and Anthony Richardson in the top 12 of my TriFlex rankings. He looks so crisp and confident in this offense and I think a really special season could lie ahead.
The 2 Minute Drill before Halftime was nothing short of CLINICAL by Tua Tagovailoa. ‼️🎯 #FinsUp

Constantly attacking, Tagovailoa ranks QB3 in air yards thrown and QB1 in air yards completed. His teaming with so many dynamic skill players and a coach who loves to score points make for an attractive multiyear outlook for this young signal caller.
DOWN
Deshaun Watson (QB17) moves outside my top 60 and is on the verge of a full free fall. Once a universal Tier 1 asset, he now finds himself in a tier with Sam Howell and Brock Purdy and he’s heading the opposite direction.
Despite having one of the best offensive lines in the NFL and a solid surrounding cast, Watson ranks next to last in completion percentage. The one reason to hang on to hope for a recovery is he’s still trying to push it downfield and may just not have the chemistry figured out with this receiving corps yet through two divisional games. Watson rates first in average depth of target and is QB4 in air yards attempted.
