Breece Hall may be the most controversial fantasy selection this summer. The second-year player for New York took the league by storm last season before suffering an ACL tear in Week 7. Will he be the second coming of Adrian Peterson, or will his trajectory follow the path taken by J.K. Dobbins a year ago?
Hall was put on PUP to begin training camp, but the news otherwise has been extremely positive.
“Someone gave me a little whisper that he hit 23 [mph] on his GPS, so he looks really good,” Saleh said in his press conference. “He looks strong, he’s in really good shape. Obviously, we’re going to do good by him and make sure that we slow play it, but he’s in really good shape. The one thing with these ACLs, you don’t want to go too quick, but at the same time, you don’t want to go too slow, so there’s a balancing act. Trust our trainers, trust our doctors, and as of now, knock on wood, things are going really well.”
Dalvin Cook is the other big fly in the ointment. The former Minnesota Vikings star has been linked to the Jets over recent weeks, but the betting line has recently swung heavily in favor of the Patriots. As of earlier today, the Dolphins and Jets appear tied for second.
Let’s dive into what that means for how we play Hall over the coming week.
