Raheem Mostert returns to the Miami Dolphins on a reported two-year, $5.6 million contract with $2.2 million guaranteed and an additional $2 million available in incentives.
Update: The Dolphins have reportedly also re-signed Jeff Wilson to a two-year contract with a maximum value of $8.2 million. My reaction has Mostert in the foreground but discusses the important context with Wilson throughout.
Due to a mix of elite speed and perfect scheme fit, Mostert made the Zero RB Candidate Countdown in 2022. He responded by setting career highs in both rushing and receiving yards, despite fighting off competition from Chase Edmonds early in the year and Wilson late.
But his fantasy season would have gone out with a whimper if not for an out-of-nowhere eight-target game in Week 17. He caught all eight passes for 62 yards and a TD, giving him his fourth half-PPR game with 16 or more points and placing him in the starting lineup for Pat Kerrane’s Underdog squad that took down Best Ball Mania 3 and won $2 million.
That’s exactly what we’re looking for from a Zero RB option.
Can Raheem Mostert Do It Again?
We’ll use RotoViz tools like the Advanced Stats Explorer, Stealing Signals, Weekly Stat Explorer, Advanced Team Stat Explorer, and Underdog Advance Rate Explorer to examine that question.
