All told, #NationalTightEndsDay was a bit of a letdown this year, wasn’t it? I mean yes, we got what we wanted out of Travis Kelce and George Kittle. But Mark Andrews did nothing. Daniel Bellinger suffered a gruesome eye injury. David Njoku suffered an injury that should see him miss weeks, not days. All told there were six TE touchdowns in Week 7, two scored by Juwan Johnson and one by Taysom Hill. Hill is of course a TE in name only, so what a wonderful week. Let’s hope Christmas isn’t as big a disappointment this year.
Still, we move on. There were few touchdowns, but there are plenty of key stats to pick through from Week 7. Once you’ve done that, I’ll offer three players that you may need to call upon this week, what with bye weeks and injuries beginning to take hold. These players are all available in 50% or more of ESPN leagues.
Let’s begin, shall we?
