Shawn Siegele analyzes a draft in the Rookies and Sophomores Tournament on Underdog and explains why 2022 offers a unique opportunity.

I’m having a hard time containing my enthusiasm for our upcoming Underdog tools, especially after Michael Dubner previewed them in breaking down how each team wins our staff draft and Blair Andrews used them to answer everyone’s favorite question: Does Zero RB Work in Underdog Tournaments? Best Ball Mania will be here soon and we’ll be ready for it.

Until then, I’ve been drafting in other Underdog tournaments with my fellow writers and co-hosts. This week, Ben Gretch and I drafted a couple of teams in the Rookies and Sophomores tournament, and we wanted to try out tactics that we’d discussed on Stealing Bananas. Specifically, does this much-maligned rookie QB class offer a unique pre-draft opportunity?

That was Conor O’Driscoll’s thesis in breaking down Travis May’s advanced QB research from the RotoViz Rookie Guide. The Rookies and Sophomores Tournament allows you to draft for one more week, so let’s dive into a build that’s only for the fantasy gunslingers.
