Can Amari Cooper Bounce Back With The Browns? Plus the Deeper Sleeper Who Benefits

Russell Wilson started the veteran movement portion of the season in earnest. He’s now in Denver, giving us new hope for the Denver skill players. Carson Wentz joins the Commanders, but little optimism applies to Terry McLaurin after Wentz combined for -17 passing fantasy points over expectation (paFPOE) across the last two years.

After a flurry of franchise tags kept many of the big-name WRs in place, Amari Cooper provided some action at wide receiver. The Cowboys traded their former No. 1 to the Browns for a fifth-round pick and a swap of sixth-rounders. Is Cooper a value in drafts now that he’s the de facto top option in Cleveland? Or does he become a trap player with his best days behind him?

To assess Cooper’s 2022 fantasy value, I’ll use the NFL Stat Explorer, Advanced Stats Explorer, and the Stealing Signals tool to break down his past exploits and his new fit in Cleveland.
