Zero RB stars like Leonard Fournette, Cordarrelle Patterson, Elijah Mitchell, and A.J. Dillon rampaged in Week 12, carrying fantasy teams across the finish line and into the FFPC playoffs. In other formats, they set their teams up for playoff byes and potential super-rosters when the time comes in a couple of weeks.
It wasn’t so exciting at the top. Christian McCaffrey exited early with an ankle injury and landed back on IR. Dalvin Cook and D’Andre Swift suffered shoulder injuries that will hopefully be short-lived but could lead to absences at just the wrong time for fantasy. On today’s episode of Overtime, I suggested we’re starting to veer perilously close to 2015’s RB Apocalypse. Thankfully, stars on the AFC side are still paving the way for a few early-round success stories.
With so much carnage leading into the fantasy playoffs, let’s break down the NFC workloads and look for opportunity in the ashes.
