Last week was a crazy week in the NFL with all the upsets. As we move into Week 10, it is again looking like a big slate for news, and for backup players being thrust into starting roles. When it comes to slates like these — and I can’t stress this enough — do not get set on any certain lineup until we have all of the injury news.
I was fortunate enough to bounce back with a top-12 finish in the $27, 215-person contest on DraftKings last week. Like I wrote in last week’s article, I was playing lighter because I was out of town. I used the Lamar/Hollywood/Jefferson stack and kept it pretty chalky at RB with Booker and Zeke. Keenan Allen was the low-owned play at under 4% that helped vault me into the top 12. It was only $120 prize, but it always feels nice to come close to winning a tournament.
As always in this space, I will recommend the stacks I like the best and what constructions make the most sense. I put most of my money each week into very small field tournaments (500 people or fewer). I prefer these types of contests because it is not necessary to get all parts of the lineup right. In these small fields, you may only need to get one or two things right to give yourself a chance to get to the top.
