This week’s Going Deep Worksheet can be found at the end of the article and includes data from all games played in 2021. For a better understanding of the information contained within it, please check out this article.
If you’ve been following this year, you’ll know that in prior weeks I highlighted specific games and focused on the expected matchups in the contest. I want to try something different this week and present individual matchups that I feel are worth noting. This should allow me to touch upon more flex options than in weeks past and hopefully help out more readers.
Wide Receivers With Positive Matchups
The GPS Matchup Rater assigns Tyler Lockett the most favorable matchup of the week. Lockett will face the Jaguars and see significant coverage from Tre Herndon and Shaquill Griffin. Herndon has allowed a respectable 5.5 points per game (PPG) on direct targets but a completion rate of 89%. Griffin has been less forgiving in terms of completions but has allowed 6.8 PPG on direct targets. On the season, the duo has allowed zero touchdowns.
