Full Day 3 Updates: If Your Rookie Draft Starts on Sunday, This Is How the First 3 Rounds Should Look

Shawn Siegele provides his updated 2021 dynasty rookie draft projections on Day 3 of the NFL draft.

Last year, I provided live updates of my projected rookie draft as players came off the board in the NFL draft. I’m doing a similar activity this year, starting with updates after Day 1. It helps me prepare for the rookie drafts that will start immediately and helps me judge trade values in devy leagues and already-drafted startups.

I’m projecting what I believe will happen, not giving my own rankings. But that also can alert me to values. For example, last year I was projecting Joe Burrow and Jonathan Taylor as the first two picks even after Taylor fell to the Colts and Clyde Edwards-Helaire went to the Chiefs. Edwards-Helaire ended up rising to No. 1, and that provided an exploitable value, as Taylor and Burrow are first-round startup picks a year later.

Our first Day 3 update finds Michael Carter flying up the board.
Our second Day 3 update finds Amon-Ra St. Brown in a high-volume opportunity.
Our third update wonders why the Patriots bothered to select Rhamondre Stevenson.
In our fourth update, the Falcons and Dolphins ignore their RB needs, so Chuba Hubbard gets stuck.
In our fifth update, we praise the Ravens’ draft decisions but lament Tylan Wallace’s fall.
In our sixth update, Kenneth Gainwell is drafted and we urge the NFL to leave someone for Miami and Atlanta.
In our seventh update, Jacob Harris turns heads with his almost impossible athleticism.
In our eighth update, we root for Jaelon Darden even though his profile leaves little room for hope.
In our ninth update, we note Simi Fehoko’s outstanding athleticism and refuse to admit the Chiefs drafted Cornell Powell.
In our tenth update, we tweak the TE rankings, praise Elijah Mitchell’s speed, and add more names to the Do Not Draft list.
In our final update, Seth Williams and Jermar Jefferson are finally drafted … and may wish they hadn’t been.

Late night update: Adjustments to Round 3 after our RV Rookie Guide rankings summit.
