Gerald Everett Joins the Seahawks: Is He the Fantasy Breakout Option Owners Desperately Need at TE?

The Seattle Seahawks moved to replace the retired Greg Olsen at tight end by signing Gerald Everett to a one-year, $6 million contract. On a new team, with a more efficient quarterback, could this move finally unlock Everett as a fantasy force?

A viable receiving option at the TE spot is something that eluded the Seahawks in 2020. Even when Russell Wilson was “cooking,” the main beneficiaries were the wide receiver duo of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Seattle TEs combined to post 75 receptions for 715 yards and six touchdowns a year ago. Twenty-two teams got more yards from the position, while 19 had more TDs.

The Seahawks would happily run the ball on every down, much to the annoyance of most sane people, including Wilson. But they have realized that they need something more from the TE spot. That’s why they’ve signed Everett from their division rivals. Can he provide the spark Seattle needs and propel himself into fantasy relevance in doing so?

Is Gerald Everett a Fantasy Breakout Option with the Seahawks?

Mike Evans’ Red Zone Prowess Should Keep Him Fantasy Relevant with the 49ers

An era came to an end in Tampa Bay, with one of the greatest players in Buccaneers history waving goodbye to the team in free agency. Mike Evans is off to San Francisco on a three-year, $42m deal, joining an interesting list of players who have donned both 49ers and Bucs red. (This list includes Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, and Jeff Garcia.) What does this…...

Harold Fannin’s Historic Rookie Season Was a Lone Bright Spot for the Browns, But Can He Build On His Success in Year 2?

The 2025 NFL season is not one that many people linked to the Cleveland Browns will remember fondly. Well, maybe Myles Garrett, who set a new single-season mark for sacks, after all. But apart from him, not many people covered themselves in glory last season. Amid the wreckage of a campaign that saw head coach Kevin Stefanski lose his job, there was one bright spot,…...

What Became of the Likely Lad? Isaiah Likely Lands With the Giants

As soon as the Baltimore Ravens surprisingly signed tight end Mark Andrews to a contract extension during the 2025 season, it was more likely than not that Isaiah Likely would be out the door in free agency. This came to pass, with the former Coastal Carolina TE signing a three-year pact with the New York Giants. Ironically, this move reunites him with head coach John Harbaugh,…...
