Week 16, also known as Championship Week, is here. Running back Alvin Kamara got the week off to a blistering start thanks to his historic performance, but he wasn’t the only massive contributor for fantasy managers. On Saturday night, running back Myles Gaskin of the Miami Dolphins had himself a career night by topping 30 fantasy points and provided a significant boost to managers who had him slotted into their lineups.
Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin returned with a bang during the Week 16 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. He rushed 14 times for 87 yards and hauled in five receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Gaskin was seemingly the only player on this offense that did anything this game. He continues to show that he is the clear cut lead back for this organization. Gaskin should be a high-end RB2 for the Week 17 contest versus the Buffalo Bills.
Consistent Volume & Opportunity
I wrote about Gaskin as a potential early-season league winner in September after a series of strong performances to start the year. Virtually undrafted in redraft leagues and likely only a deep bench stash in dynasty leagues, Gaskin was a mega-producer in college who needed an opportunity. This season, he’s been given that opportunity, and he’s delivered in a big way. In his nine active games this season, he’s averaging almost 20 opportunities/game and has scored double-digit fantasy points in eight of nine games.
