QB rankings and streaming advice for Week 16 – commonly championship week – of the 2020 fantasy football season.
In the longest year of our lifetimes, it is still shocking we managed to complete the fantasy season on schedule. And despite the hurdles it took to get here, the season did not disappoint. We witnessed some fresh faces secure starting roles (Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa) and old faces succeed in new uniforms (Tom Brady, Philip Rivers).
I am proud to report my final picks of the season delivered sufficient postseason performances. Philip Rivers recorded multiple touchdowns for the fifth consecutive week and Baker Mayfield missed only six passes in his third consecutive 300-passing-yard day (technically he posted 297 yards because his final pass of the game went for negative 5 yards, but I’m giving it to him).
But the headliner was Jalen Hurts, who delivered a fantasy win (though a team loss) in just his second start for the Eagles with four total TDs, 338 passing yards and 63 yards on the ground. His 401 total yards are more than Carson Wentz has had in his career and enough to secure Hurts the top spot, as QB1 on the week.
That is more than Carson Wentz has had in a single game in his entire career.

Cumulative 2020 Fantasy Results
On the season, all three of my weekly picks managed an average of QB2 performances or better. For that, I want to thank some of my QB streaming favorites this season –
- Ryan Tannehill, who surpassed streamer status early on in the season and currently sits at QB2 on the year. Streamer Cinderella, everyone.
- Justin Herbert, the modest rookie who has reinvigorated the Chargers (in the fantasy realm) and currently ranks top 10 in completions, attempts, passing yards and passing TDs.
- Matthew Stafford, who despite the coaching challenges and lingering injuries has posted QB2 or better performances in all but two starts this season and is still just 51.6% owned in fantasy leagues.

Count it as a 2020 accomplishment, but we are not finished yet. While I am hopeful you haven’t made it to the championship game still reaching for a quarterback on the waiver wire, you may still be analyzing your start/sit options. Let me help provide some clarity one last time.
