With breaking news each day and possible postponements looming, I’ve been attempting to get my process started a little later and later each week. The usual 2020 caveats still apply…make sure you check the news and stay up to date on what DraftKings is doing about games if they are moved. Assuming no changes, there are quite a few games that caught my eye for this weekend’s slate.
Indianapolis (27) at Houston (24) – Total 51
With news of Will Fuller’s PED suspension, Brandin Cooks ($5,600) is thrust into the WR1 role.
No one is going to argue that he’s the same player that he’s always been, but we’ve seen Cooks have slate-breaking appearances. The price is right on Cooks this week.
A positive COVID-19 test took the air out of the Jonathan Taylor ($5,700) balloon in Week 12, but assuming he’s active this week, it’s hard to ignore him.
He saw a significant increase in opportunities the last time we saw him take the field. The passing game is a bit of a mess, but a flier on Michael Pittman ($4,900) could make some sense. In three of his last four games, Pittman has seen 7-plus targets. You’re relying on Houston to get a lead and/or stay competitive in this case, but we saw the Colts defense get gashed last week so stranger things have happened.
