Dave Caban uses the RB Prospect Lab and Box Score Scout sims to further evaluate 2020 RB prospects.
Over the weekend, I published a set of updated rookie RB rankings that accounted for the results of Rounds 1 through 3. With the draft now behind us, and draft position available, let’s use the RB Prospect Lab and Box Score Scout sims to get a better sense of each prospect’s comparable players and projected fantasy points scored in his first three seasons. Keep in mind, these tools are not considering the situation that each player finds himself in, however, they are useful in rounding out a player’s pre-NFL profile and will help in determining if there is a reason to have any optimism for a player with his newly found NFL team.
Prospect Lab Notes
The model I used for this article included forty time, draft position, career attempts per game, career rushing yards per game, career dominator, and career receptions per game. Despite including six variables, the model’s p-values were held to acceptable levels. For more information on using the RB Prospect Lab and understanding its results, please check out this article.
