Shawn Siegele projects the first three rounds of 2020 rookie mocks with live updates as players are selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Where will the top prospects go in rookie drafts? That’s the question on everyone’s mind as the 2020 NFL draft gets ready to kick off. My three-round rookie mock looks at where I expect the market to end up after owners get a chance to digest this weekend’s moves.
As the NFL Draft progresses, I’ll update the rookie mock with new player comps from the Box Score Scout and new projections from the RB Prospect Lab and WR Prospect Lab. We’ll discuss the landing spots in the context of Hasan Rahim’s WR Opportunity Scores and Blair Andrews’ RB Opportunity Scores.
Superflex and TE Premium are increasingly popular, and they should be. Adding relevance to quarterback and tight end increases strategy and makes startups fairer. If you’re participating in a classic format, just ignore the QBs.
We already have 80 superflex startups in our Dynasty ADP tool. Perusing the rookie placement will give you a strong sense of what the rookie drafts would look like prior to this weekend’s festivities. Some of the results might surprise you.
The mock also functions as a road map to our research on individual players. Click the links in the prospect names to locate our in-depth prospect profiles with advanced stats and player evaluations from our dynasty team.
* The mock is now updated for Round 1 results. After a slow start, three late picks shook up the rankings with Jalen Reagor and Brandon Aiyuk rising. That was followed by an absolute explosion from Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He’s now in contention with the Big 3 and could even legitimately go No. 1 overall in some leagues.
* The mock is now updated for Day 2 results. RB landing spots shook up the order, and a trio of sleepers bumped their compatriots from the mock. Three undrafted players still stick in the top 36, but the pressure is on. After an exciting Friday, the second round has firmed up and looks more promising than it did a day ago. By contrast, the depth in Round 3 no longer looks as enticing.
* Day 3 updates are complete. Tyler Johnson and Eno Benjamin finally go. Is it enough to keep them in the first three rounds?
