Enough has happened this offseason for us to draw some actionable conclusions about wide receiver opportunities in some key spots in 2020. The free agency market has started to dry up and others on our staff have covered the winners and losers there. When making my own dynasty shopping list for April, I focused more on the teams who didn’t do anything. Mid-summer trades can happen, but those aren’t projectable, and really the only somewhat buzzy move left to be made would be a Brandin Cooks trade. As much as I respect his career to-date, concussion concerns loom large and I’m not sure many teams will want to take on his 16 million dollar cap hit in 2020. The only clear opportunity teams have to improve rosters at this point is the NFL Draft. I think this year’s rookie crop could struggle to make an early impact because team activities are likely to be limited this summer due to ongoing public health concerns. One of my favorite moves this month is moving later first round 2020 rookie picks for my 2019 rookie 1.01.

Dynasty Trade Target – N’Keal Harry

The New England Patriots have done exactly nothing to improve their pass-catching corps this offseason. Bill Belichick appears to be fully committed to using what he has on-hand in a rebuild year, having passed on opportunities to trade for prime-age wide receivers, stud tight ends, and free-agent quarterbacks. I think this means the receiver with the best profile in the 2019 class is going to get his shot.
