This time of year generally represents a buyers’ market due to managers not wanting to lose valuable players for nothing in return. However, that does not mean savvy fantasy managers cannot obtain values as both a buyer and seller at the deadline. Using the RotoViz Triflex Dynasty rankings is the best place to start when trying to figure out which players we should be targeting. But we must also get a sense of how the general fantasy community is valuing the same players, and using a crowdsourced rankings system like Keep Trade Cut is a great way to get a better understanding of each player’s current market value.[1]

By comparing our rankings against the fantasy community at large, we can figure out ways to take advantage of deficiencies in the market as we look to build not just dynasty champions but empires that are perennially in contention to bring home league titles. While we may not always receive full value for the players we are trying to part with, stockpiling rookie picks will prove to be a major part of our long-term success as we practice the principles of perpetual reloading to create a permanent championship window.

Today we will be focusing on players you should be selling in the RotoViz Triflex format, which features TE-premium scoring and starting lineups consisting of: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, and 1 SUPERFLEX. Next time we’ll look at the players you should be buying instead.

Want to know what to do with all of those rookie picks you’re piling up? Pick up a copy of the 2025 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide today!

For a limited time, purchasers of the Rookie Guide will get a $29.99 discount off of a new 1-year RotoViz subscription, essentially making the Rookie Guide free for new subscribers. Quarterbacks

It is no secret that superflex managers will always covet the QB position. This mindset can sometimes bleed over into overvaluing the position to the detriment of their overall roster construction. RotoViz readers have done well in recent years by fading lesser prospects at the QB position for better talent elsewhere.

To be clear, we still want to keep strong QBs on our superflex rosters, but properly valuing the position in rookie drafts and trades is one of the keys to keeping permanent championship windows open. Team context matters when putting together any trade, and I am not suggesting that a contending team trade away the QBs listed below without a solid backup plan in place. However, for teams that have the depth to thin out the QB position, the returns from trading away these QBs could yield some true fantasy stars.

Footnotes

Footnotes
1 It is important to note that Keep Trade Cut defaults to .5 PPR scoring, while FFPC leagues are full PPR. With KTC rankings customizable to add tight-end premium scoring, we are at least able to mimic that aspect of FFPC leagues. While not perfect, it provides us with a good jumping-off point for the fantasy community’s current stance on each player.

Will This 2024 Rookie WR Put His First Season Behind Him and Follow in Drake London’s Footsteps?

After being selected by Atlanta with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Drake London put up a solid rookie season despite dealing with poor quarterback play in a run-heavy Arthur Smith offense. Smith was fired after a 2023 season in which the Falcons experienced similar offensive limitations. The freedom of a new offense in 2024 enabled London to make a leap and…...

Can This Star Among Stars in the 2024 Rookie WR Class Reach Justin Jefferson’s Level?

During the 2020 NFL Draft, Justin Jefferson watched wide receivers Henry Ruggs III, Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, and Jalen Reagor all come off the board before he was selected by the Vikings with the 22nd pick. If we were to draft the entire class over again today, the only player that would be competing with Jefferson to be the top overall pick would be Joe…...
