Tune in to the RotoViz YouTube channel Tuesday evening at 9:15 p.m. ET, as I will be joined by Mat Irby to answer listener questions and talk through the best waiver adds heading into the fantasy playoffs!
When Christian McCaffrey went down against the Bills, it looked like last week’s suggestion to add Jordan Mason could lead fantasy managers to championships this season. That is, until Mason hit IR on Monday with a high-ankle sprain. Now Isaac Guerendo is the next man up.
Guerendo has shown enough in limited opportunities this season to make us believe that he could be the latest San Francisco back to come out of nowhere to help bring home fantasy titles. And he is also available in nearly all of ESPN and Yahoo leagues. With fantasy managers looking for any advantage they can get heading into the fantasy playoffs, expect the FAAB bidding to get a little crazy this week.
While it seems pretty clear that Guerendo should be “the guy”, the history of Shanahanigans at running back predates the 49ers’ head coach, going all of the way back to his father Mike’s time in Denver. There is enough of a history there to let a sliver of doubt creep in, but regardless of that, Guerendo may just be the most sought after waiver-wire addition we see this season.
Week 14 byes:
- Baltimore Ravens
- Denver Broncos
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- New England Patriots
- Washington Commanders
Any player who is on one of the six teams that has a Week 14 bye will be marked with an asterisk (*).
Before we dive into the players, just a few reminders about how the article is set up:
- To be included as a potential add, a player must be rostered in 50% or less of ESPN or Yahoo leagues
- FAAB recommendations will be given, but also serve as tiers for leagues without FAAB budgets. The rationale behind FAAB recommendations is: If I had $1,000 in FAAB, what is the absolute most I’d be willing to spend on this player?
- All positional rankings and statistics are taken from RotoViz’s Monday Review tool
