Shawn Siegele breaks down the Zero RB Universe with trade ideas, deep stashes, start/sit thoughts, and much more as we head toward Week 9 of the 2024 fantasy football season.
Tyrone Tracy was the biggest story in Week 8, sprinting to 145 yards on 20 carries with a 15% boom rate and 0% bust. It becomes even more impressive when you think back to Blair’s Wrong Read matchups piece for Week 8, which really hammers home just how difficult this environment was.
That’s a lot of red.
Tracy posted an elite mix of peripherals with four broken tackles and 70 yards after contact — both among the league leaders — but his breakaway ability also helped him to 75 yards before contact against a defense that had completely wiped out that category coming in.
Unfortunately, the story turned into a bit of a tragedy as Tracy suffered a concussion late, and his availability for Week 9 is in doubt. It’s hard to wait on the guy we’ve been promoting heavily since the RotoViz Rookie Guide came out back in February, but our first hope is always and only the brain health of the players.
It sounds like Tracy is progressing well in his very early recovery. If he should return for Week 10, he’ll face one of the best RB schedules down the stretch.
