So you’re 1-6? Who cares. 2-5? Big deal. 0-7? Ok, maybe we have our limits.
Fantasy’s regular season is only half way over, and no matter how poorly our teams played to start the season, there is still plenty of time to turn it all around. The caveat is that we need to stay diligent over the next seven weeks, and a good place to start is the waiver wire.
Week 7 was yet another example of how quickly things can change in the NFL, as injuries to superstars have unfortunately been one of the biggest storylines of the 2024 season. That is why roster management is so crucial in fantasy, as adding a player like Jordan Mason or Darnell Mooney for practically nothing early in the season has already paid off huge dividends at this point.
Everyone loves an underdog story, but unfortunately we can’t be the protagonist of one if we don’t find ourselves down-and-out at some point. So if you find yourself in the cellar of your league’s standings, it’s time to dust yourself off, and get ready to put together the type of season that will become the stuff of legends in the annals of fantasy football history.
Week 8 Byes: None
Please join me and Blair Andrews live every Tuesday evening at 9:15 p.m. ET as we talk through the best waiver-wire adds of the week, along with answering every roster management question viewers throw at us!
Before we dive into the players, just a few reminders about how the article is set up:
- To be included as a potential add, a player must be rostered in 50% or less of ESPN or Yahoo leagues
- To be mentioned as a potential drop, a player must be rostered in 50% or more of ESPN or Yahoo leagues
- FAAB recommendations will be given, but also serve as tiers for leagues without FAAB budgets. The rationale behind FAAB recommendations is: If I had $1,000 in FAAB, what is the absolute most I’d be willing to spend on this player?
