“Gaston was not only a fierce lover, with endless wisdom and imagination, but he was also, perhaps, the first man in the history of the species who had made an emergency landing and had come close to killing himself and his sweetheart simply to make love in a field of violets.”
– Gabriel Garcia Marquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude
Between burgeoning injury lists and cratering offenses, we’re often left with our facility for the appreciation of whimsy and perhaps not much else. And yet it was another big week for RotoViz subscribers.
- Kyren Williams scored all three Rams touchdowns, including a somersaulting TD reception, suggesting that, yes, he may actually be the best fantasy value since LeSean McCoy in 2016.
- Cole Kmet reminded everyone that he belongs in the elite TE conversation even if his coaching staff is embarrassing even by 2024 standards.
- Aaron Jones continued to look like the peak Green Bay version and one of the best picks in home leagues.
- Bucky Irving may have set the record for most evaded tackles on a 2-yard gain . . . but he exploded for 68 rushing yards on his other eight attempts. While he still has a lot to prove when it comes to actually scoring fantasy points, he’s on the road to becoming the 2024 version of Kyren Williams.
These signature RotoViz plays helped us cruise through Week 3 in our guillotine leagues and comfortably survive the chop. Kmet was the headliner in the Overtime league.
While Aaron Jones helped us glide through in Stealing Bananas.
Colm and I will be hosting a new league for the RotoViz community at some point in the next several weeks. To get involved, sign up at guillotineleagues.com and contact Colm (@OvertimeIreland). We’re hoping to do a second live draft and may include something fun and RV-related for the winner.
It was also a big week for in-season readers who were able to profit from our look at the head winds facing Mark Andrews and the flash alert to immediately sell Josh Jacobs.
What else do you need to know from Week 3? Let’s dive in.
