There’s No Place Like Home: Navigating 2024 Yahoo ADP Through the Eyes of a Year-Round Fantasy Drafter, Part 2 – Either Zero or Hero, Let’s Get Those RBs

For the real weirdos who were already knee deep in best ball drafts before the conclusion of last year’s Super Bowl, home leagues can seem like a formality in the final few weeks before the NFL regular season kicks off. As part of this cohort, it can be a shock to my system entering the first home league draft room of the year, only to find ADPs that can best be described as radical; both in their deviation from what I have seen all summer, and with the ease that (I tell myself) I will be able to exploit them.

While it is easy for the shock to transition into cocksureness, we (and by “we,” I mean “I”) must remind ourselves that the odds are always significantly stacked against us to bring home a title in any fantasy league. With the baseline odds of winning a 12-team league sitting at 8.3%, the chances of winning even the most casual of leagues does not rise anywhere close to a 50/50 split. This is especially true when there are bragging rights on the line.

In Part 1, we looked at how we should attack the draft in order to get six of the top-15 fantasy WRs onto our roster. In Part 2, we will try to find ADP pockets that provide the best opportunities to fill out the running back spots on our team.

Drafting tonight and need player targets now? Shawn Siegele has you covered with his 25 Priority Targets for home leagues and top-10 upside plays!

Mat Irby has also put together some of his favorite mid-round WR selections on Yahoo. Packed with tons of actionable information and an intro that concludes with one of the greatest lines of any fantasy article I have ever read, it’s a must-read for anyone playing on Yahoo.

Can This 2024 Rookie QB Reach the Heights That Kyler Murray Saw During His Second Season?

Kyler Murray has received his fair share of criticism in recent years, but it was not that long ago when he was a fantasy darling after finishing as the QB4 in his explosive sophomore season. Largely on the back of an elite rushing workload, Murray took the league by storm in 2020. But it is not as if he came out of nowhere after being…...

Anyone who is paying attention to the 2025 NFL Draft is surely aware by now of how strong of an incoming rookie running back class we have this year. Kenny Golladay Exploded in Years 2 and 3 — Is This 2024 Rookie WR Following the Same Path?

Kenny Golladay came into the NFL in 2017 as a late third-round pick out of Northern Illinois. He was able to show flashes of his potential in his rookie season before coming on strong in his second and third seasons.
