Curtis Patrick shares his latest dynasty trades involving Tyreek Hill, Drake London, Keenan Allen, De’Von Achane, Jerry Jeudy, and more. Can he convert these moves into the third title chance in five years for this high-stakes roster?

What are you doing to set your dynasty rosters in motion?
Sometimes it’s just hard to get started. You’re too hard on your own ideas or worried that you won’t find willing trade partners, so you just don’t even try.
In sharing my own dynasty trades with you, I hope you’ll be inspired to get active in your own leagues. Maybe you’ll try to tail my trades and acquire the same players. Or maybe you’ll like the structure of a deal you see here and feel emboldened to put your own spin on it.
We are in such a productive window for dynasty league trades right now. Hot off the heels of the post-combine rookie fever and in the throes of NFL free agency, managers are increasingly responsive to offers in hopes of creating their own title squads for 2024.
Here are a few of the great free agency pieces from our team that tie-in with the trades I’m breaking down today:

Dynasty Trade Diary No. 8 – Leveraging Free Agency for Your Next Dynasty Title
Entry No. 8
Today’s entry covers several dynasty trades I made in a FFPC dynasty league to set my roster up for a 2024 title.
League: FFPC $250 Dynasty #106
Format: 1QB, TE Premium scoring
Lineups: Start 10 (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex, K, DEF)
Notes
- Orphan takeover in 2019
- Won title in 2020
- Finished 7th in 2022
- Runner-Up in 2023
This entry features a team I wrote about in this space 10 months ago. After winning the league championship the year after adopting an orphan squad, the team went on a multiyear decline. Following my swap of Chris Olave for Christian McCaffrey last season, I climbed back into the money as the No. 1 seed after the regular season and finished as runner-up in the championship.
Never one to rest on past success, I’m focused on getting this squad back to the title game in 2024.
Notable Assets (Pre-Trade)
QB – Tua Tagovailoa
RB – Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, Rachaad White, Raheem Mostert
WR – Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper
TE – Sam LaPorta, Evan Engram
Top-30 2023 Rookie Picks – 1.06, 2.06, 2.08, 3.01
You’ve got to give in order to receive — and I gave a lot in these deals.
Over a series of two trades with two different managers, I sent out four players and received five. The guiding principles were to get younger at wide receiver while also adding some of 2024’s prime breakout candidates. From a dynasty value perspective, it also helps to think of this as “who can I acquire who hasn’t had their best fantasy season yet?”
Taking the Names Off of the Trades
This exercise is sometimes helpful when you are emotionally attached to the players on your roster. By our overall dynasty tiers:
Sent: Tier 2 player, Tier 3 player, Tier 4 player, Tier 5 player
Received: Tier 2 player, Tier 3 player, Tier 4 player, Tier 5 player, Tier 6 player
When considering our dynasty tiers and player context, the net of these deals was:
- converting my 30-year-old “cornerstone” WR into a 22-year-old “cornerstone” WR
- acquiring a 22-year-old running back who just led the league in expected fantasy points per game
- converting a flex spot to TE to take advantage of TE-premium settings
- adding a young, Tier 6 player for free
Now, let’s put the names on the deals.
Sent
Jonathan Taylor, Rachaad White, Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen
