Curtis Patrick explores the relative value of the 2024 rookie class. How do dynasty rookie rankings fit into overall dynasty rankings?
Dynasty Rookie Rankings – How to Value the Top 2024 Rookies
In this article, I’m going to share specific dynasty rookie value and dynasty rookie rankings information on each of the top prospects in the 2024 class. After reading, you’ll have a strong grasp on which rookies currently rate inside our top-50 overall dynasty rankings, which will help you:
- Crush your next startup event
- Navigate rookie drafts like an expert
- Build more creative dynasty trades
But first, a few administrative updates.
I’ve enjoyed our 2024 Rookie Guide series as much as any we’ve ever compiled. We went nearly 100 prospects deep and had a very orchestrated approach to analyzing the class. It’s been rewarding to see the positive responses from subscribers and rookie guide consumers.[1]We also had some suggestions for making it even better, one of which I implemented in Vol. 2. Adding the individual position rankings on the section header pages was a nice touch
As seasoned dynasty managers know, evaluating rookies is difficult, but it’s nothing compared to the challenge of melding an incoming class into overall dynasty rankings. This is especially true at this point in the offseason process where we know everything there is to know about a player’s profile except the NFL-level variables of draft capital and team landing spot.
Nonetheless, Shawn Siegele and I completed this noble task over the past week.
It’s a big day 👀

Not one to be left out, Dave Caban also took the chance to add some new functionality to our dynasty rankings page. You can now filter our rankings to show veterans only, rookies only, or all players together.
The rookies were also placed in our dynasty tier system, which provides a suggested rookie pick valuation for each player. For example, Caleb Williams, the heavy favorite for the dynasty rookie 1.01 this season, is already valued as a Tier 1 player, putting his value around three random future firsts.
Browsing our combined dynasty and rookie rankings and tiers will provide you with the necessary clarity to navigate dynasty trades and dynasty startups over the next month, I’m sure of it.
Let’s review how the top 2024 rookies compare in value to established NFL veterans, starting at the top.
Tier 1 Dynasty Valuation
Caleb Williams rates as our only Tier 1 dynasty valuation in the 2024 class. This equates to a value of three random future first-round rookie picks.
Williams is probably headed to Chicago, where he’ll have the luxury of working with Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore, Cole Kmet, and D’Andre Swift, among others. This is about as good as it gets for a rookie quarterback. If Williams actually proves to be good at the NFL level, this could be an offense that takes a major leap forward; the impact could be dynamic to other players’ dynasty value, too.
Composite Dynasty Ranking: 8th overall
- Curtis’ rank: 9th overall
