The 2024 fantasy football season is officially here! With RotoViz TriFlex leagues and the Never-Too-Early Best Ball Tournament in full swing over at the FFPC, along with the Big Board tournament going live on Underdog, it is a great time to be alive.

No matter what type of league we’re competing in, the exercise of researching each NFL team’s salary cap situation, draft capital, and potential needs can help us write a narrative of how we believe the offseason will play out across the league. As a general guideline, early in the offseason it is better to focus on the broad strokes while having the humility to understand that we will be wrong about many of the specifics. The hope is that having done the preparation we can react quicker to breaking news and be a step ahead of our competition when predicting what is coming next.

The 2024 offseason is already promising excitement. We have a deep rookie class headlined by Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. (and the RotoViz team is here to help you get to know them all with the 2024 Prospect Guide — available now!) There is an impressive pool of free-agent running backs including Saquon Barkley and Austin Ekeler looking to take over new backfields. Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Mike Evans are just a few names of the superstar wide receivers who will be looking for new contracts. While we don’t know how it will all shake out, one thing is certain: there will be no shortage of information for us to digest and react to in the coming months.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the first four parts of the series:

Caleb Williams, Justin Jefferson, a Blockbuster Trade, and the Uncertain Situations that Could Define 2024

Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye (or Caleb Williams) – Which Rookie QB Will Have Big-Time Upside in this Ascending Offense?

Can Jonathon Brooks or Another Rookie Running Back Resurrect This Exciting AFC Running Game?

Uncovering Difference-Makers On An Overlooked Offense, Plus A Potential Surprise Landing Spot For Brock Bowers

In part five of the series we will look at a perennial powerhouse that should end up even stronger in 2024.

Week 9 Waiver Wire: Get Ready to Bid Up for Difference Makers at RB and WR

Things are starting to get thin, but that does not mean the waiver wire is absent of talent. There are still multiple running backs and wide receivers available in the majority of leagues that could finish inside the top-12 at each position over the rest of the season. The biggest caveat is that we will likely have to pay up in order to make sure…...

Week 8 Monday Review: Comeback Stories Headline What Proved to be an Exciting Start to the Second Half of the Fantasy Season

After Week 7 underwhelmed overall, Week 8 has more than made up for it. The top-two picks in this year’s NFL draft provided us with what will likely be the most memorable ending to a game fans get all season, as the legend (and MVP resume) of Jayden Daniels continues to grow. Tua Tagovailoa’s return provided the spark that Miami needed to get its offense…...

Week 7 WR Advanced Stats: Squeaky Wheels, An Overabundance of Grease, and Setting Precedents in the Modern NFL

Wide receivers have been considered the prima-donna position of the NFL for quite some time. One of the biggest shifts seemed to come in the early 2000s, when players like Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson forced themselves into the spotlight in good times and bad. When they were on, their play spoke for them. When things weren’t going their way, they made sure that the…...
