Tony Pollard is reportedly set to sign a free-agent contract with the Tennessee Titans that will pay him $24M over the next three seasons.
Entering free agency with the third-highest available cap space in the NFL — $75.4M according to Over the Cap — the Tennessee Titans wasted no time putting their money to use by signing Pollard. While we all wait and see how the Titans’ new brain trust — led by general manager Ran Carthon and head coach Brian Callahan — will build out the rest of the roster, it is safe to say that they are looking to have a more dynamic running attack than what we have grown accustomed to seeing in Tennessee. Don’t get me wrong, it has been awesome watching Derrick Henry bulldoze defenders and throw some of the best athletes in the world aside like they were children. But just because the rushing attack will look considerably different next season, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be a change for the worse.
