Justin Fields Tries to Keep His Unstoppable Run Going: Week 6 DFS Picks

This weekly article is a deep dive into some guys with exploitable matchups, something to prove, or who are just great deals on FanDuel. The goal is always to help you win money on a week-to-week basis. Barring that, at least you can have some fun playing DFS, in which case this article can help you get started on the road to profitability. Each week I’ll use the RotoViz tools to suggest top plays and sleeper picks for each position on FanDuel.

This week I’ll be covering both FanDuel and DraftKings, and highlighting which plays will work best on each site.

Quarterbacks

MUST-HAVE: JUSTIN FIELDS– $8,500 (FanDuel), $7,300 (Draft Kings)

Justin Fields has been unstoppable the past two weeks, throwing for eight TDs and one interception. There are a few stats I want to point to that have blown me away with Fields this year. He has been nearly perfect in the red zone, completing 65.2% of passes, while scoring nine TDs (eight passing and one rushing) with 125 passing yards. That doesn’t sound like the Fields we’ve all been saying should be replaced. The truth is that Fields has been really good against the Minnesota Vikings, according to the Game Splits App. He is averaging 3.0 more points per game versus the Vikings and Minnesota hasn’t improved on defense since Fields came into the league. Fields a very nice high-end pick for both FanDuel and DraftKings.

SLEEPER: SAM HOWELL– $7,000 (FanDuel), $5,500 (DraftKings)

Sam Howell has played well for fantasy purposes with the fourth-most passing attempts (191) and the sixth-most yards (1,349). Howell has been right around QB15 all year long with only one finish outside of that mark. This has been a big reason for his placement in this week’s DFS article. He doesn’t do anything extremely well, but the Commanders have seemingly found themselves behind more than ahead, and catching up can be the key to big games. Another thing to consider is that while Howell has been sacked the most in the league at 29, the Falcons’ defense has the fewest sacks at just five. He’s probably more of a value on DraftKings considering he’s about the price of a quality flex and should save you more for bigger plays throughout.
