Football season is officially back! We enjoyed a long summer of drafting best ball teams and capped that off with our longest-running home league drafts. Now we can shift our focus to the week one DFS slate on DraftKings.

I primarily focus on small-field tournament play. In these contests, you need to get fewer things right to vault your way to the top of the leaderboard. It makes for a fun Sunday when you know all you need to have a chance to win is having one game go crazy or one low-owned play going off for a big game. In this weekly series, we’ll identify the key decision points on each slate and how to navigate them.
