This weekly article is a deep dive into some guys with exploitable matchups, something to prove, or who are just great deals on FanDuel. The goal is always to help you win money on a week-to-week basis. Barring that, at least you can have some fun playing DFS, in which case this article can help you get started on the road to profitability. Quarterbacks
MUST-HAVE: TREVOR LAWRENCE – $8,000
Thanks to Doug Pederson, Trevor Lawrence is coming off a sophomore year where he took two giant leaps forward. This season has all the makings of a big year for the former No.1 overall pick, starting with the Colts. Lawrence is clocking it at $8,000 and even at that money is a steal because of the matchup. The Colts are a team rebuilding its core and have made very few impressive changes on defense. The NFL Stat Explorer shows that in the last five games of 2022, the Colts allowed three top-three performances. Quarterbacks have averaged 25.76 fantasy points during that stretch. One last tidbit for everyone is that T-Law averaged 24.75 fantasy points against the Colts last year. Needless to say, Lawrence should be in your FanDuel DFS lineups on Sunday.

SLEEPER: JORDAN LOVE – $6,400
Jordan Love is an enigma to everyone, but Matt LaFleur . . . to him he’s the next big QB. Some will point to this being Love’s first official start and say it’s too early to start him. Others will say he’s missing Christian Watson. Why are you starting him? I’m here to tell you, don’t worry and go out and play him while he is dirt cheap. The one thing that is almost as certain as taxes is Matt LaFleur’s record against the Bears: a perfect 8-0 since taking the helm in Green Bay, LaFleur knows how to coach against the Bears defense and will try and keep it going this week. Love should start strong and continue the success against the team, assuming the mantle as part owner of the Chicago Bears.
