The NFL draft is just weeks away and people are calling their shots on who will be the next Patrick Mahomes, Saquon Barkley, and Justin Jefferson. And on the other side of that equation we have the biggest busts. Very few of us like to write negative articles, but we all want to avoid the land mines.

I am not one for hot takes. As co-host of both the College to Canton podcast and the College Football Fantasy Podcast, I’ve been watching, researching, and talking about players from this rookie class for three or four years now. As an analyst immersed in the college game, my evaluations aren’t based on the gaudy highlights or the latest buzz. And that’s why I don’t believe the case against using a rookie draft pick on Will Levis is not that hot at all.
