Want to build an unstoppable juggernaut and turn your dynasty roster into a money machine? In this edition of the Dynasty Workshop, I profile five RV TriFlex teams – three with 2021 startups and two from last season. You can decide for yourself whether you like the construction of these squads and if you want to follow our philosophy of Perpetual Reloading.
It’s dynasty orphan season over at the FFPC, and the RotoViz TriFlex format continues to rise in popularity. Last offseason I penned the Dynasty Workshop series to help subscribers build dominant rosters with a Permanent Championship Window.
That series combined with our dynasty ranking system has been a game changer for many subscribers.
Perpetual Reloading and The RotoViz Tiered Dynasty Rankings
These are the two central questions in dynasty:
- Can you show enough patience in your league’s early years that you build a broad enough base of assets to eventually open a multi-year championship window?
- Once you open the championship window, do you have the patience and discipline to move assets in such a way that the window stays open permanently?
As you embark on any startup, you also have to consider the opportunities available in that specific league. Executing on the big questions requires flexibility on tactics, not adherence to a rigid template. For that reason, our 2022 workshop included multiple starting conditions. I’ll go over some of these differences as we analyze teams in the article.
Last offseason we moved to a new rankings system that uses tiered rankings that correspond to trade values. While my favorite additions to the recent RotoViz portfolio are the Passing Matchup Rater and the Advanced Team Stats Explorer – two in-season tools that are easily worth the price of a subscription by themselves – I hear constantly from readers that our trade-based rankings have helped them steal players like DeVonta Smith and Garrett Wilson before trade calculators were valuing them properly.
