At this point in the NFL season we’ve had a good look at how teams want to play football, and those sample sizes get bigger every time they take the field. We’re not the only ones who have more data to go on though. Mid-season is when reactive coaching starts to make a huge difference, and no one is safe from being game-planned out of existence, just ask Micah Parsons.
It’s also when bye weeks start forcing fantasy managers into making difficult decisions. Good players will be dropped onto waivers at every position, especially D/ST where most teams aren’t willing to drop Jameson Williams just to hold onto the Eagles defense during their off week. In Week 7 all four teams on bye (the Bills, Eagles, Rams, and Vikings) have been top NFL defenses so far, and reliable fantasy producers as well. That means even more managers will be trolling the waiver wire looking for fill-ins this week, and whoever your target is, you may want to consider bidding a little extra to get them.
