In his debut article with RotoViz, Seamus Carr looks at what the Jags big win means for Trevor Lawrence and breaks down three under-the-radar fantasy developments for Week 3.
Jags make a statement
Sunday marked a pivotal win for the Jacksonville Jaguars and a big step in the growth of Trevor Lawrence. Traveling across the country for a matchup versus the L.A. Chargers and an injured Justin Herbert, Lawrence flashed his ridiculous arm talent and led the Jaguars to a dominant second half.
After Lawrence’s rookie comps featured players like Sam Bradford, Carson Wentz, and Blake Bortles, the former No. 1 overall pick has shown obvious development in Year 2. He completed only 60% of his passes as a rookie but has jumped to 69% through three weeks in 2022. He’s already thrown six touchdowns, half of his total from a season ago. As a result, he ranks No. 6 at the QB position with 33.4 EPA, and there’s a clear tier break after Lawrence.
