Streaming D/STs in fantasy football is the way to go. At what other position could a top-five pick by ADP like the Colts be unusable by Week 3? And unless you’re in a tremendously deep league, there’s really no room on your roster to be holding multiple D/STs waiting one of them to play the Jets.
Projections this early in the year are also difficult, given the tiny sample size of games we have to pull data from, and the million moving parts that go into predicting those sacks and turnovers that account for most of the position’s fantasy points. However, the RotoViz Strength-of-Schedule Streaming app can help point us towards which D/STs have the best matchups based on the small sample size of data currently avilable.
DON’T OVERTHINK IT — START EM IF YOU GOT EM
Don’t be afraid of Tua Tagovailoa dropping six touchdowns on Buffalo, or Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor exploding for four touchdowns in one quarter the way Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle did versus Baltimore. The Bills, Buccaneers, Saints, 49ers, Cowboys, and Ravens D/STs are still top plays this week — no need to play the waiver wire looking for a marginal upgrade on these highly-owned defenses. If you’re in a minority of leagues where one of them is available, rectify it.
