Football happened. Week 1 is in the books. Half of the fantasy football-playing population hates their teams and their choices leading up to the start of the games. The other half are positively cockahoop and feel untouchable. But the race is long and is by no means already run.
Tight end was, as usual, a sight to behold in fantasy terms. We saw Travis Kelce remind the world that he is still the top dog in KC. Taysom Hill continues to baffle and tease fantasy managers as we cannot adequately explain his usage. O.J. Howard returned from the wilderness to post a stat line that saw him finish as the overall TE2 despite seeing just two targets. In an uncertain world, it’s nice to rely on the inevitable uncertainty of fantasy sports’ most toxic spot.
Below you will see all the key production stats from the TE spot for this past week. Also, because we’re just that kind of generous around these parts, we shall offer three viable options to plug in and play this week if you find yourself in need of help. I’m looking at you, George Kittle managers. These players are available in over 50% of ESPN leagues. So there’s a good chance you can secure them if you move quickly enough.
Let’s get into it.
