The New York Giants selected the diminutive Wan’Dale Robinson at. No. 43, adding more weapons for Daniel Jones after deciding not to pick up his fifth-year option. Will Robinson become Brian Daboll’s new Cole Beasley? And should fantasy managers care?
Robinson is the latest in a string a small and not particularly fast wide receivers who are nevertheless productive in college. He declared early from Kentucky, and the Giants saw enough to take him with the 11th pick in the second round. It’s more draft capital than most receivers with his size/speed profile typically see, but Robinson fits a mold that Daboll has made extensive use of in the past.
Only one receiver has been targeted more than Beasley in Daboll’s offense. Unfortunately it’s not a role that’s produced much efficiency. Can Robinson turn this role into fantasy gold?
