The Buffalo Bills got their running back, selecting James Cook at No. 63 overall — the second-to-last pick in the second round. But Can Cook take over lead duties from Devin Singletary?
The Bills have done a decent job running a real-life Zero-RB team over the last several years, getting strong production from Singletary and Zack Moss (both third-round picks) with fill-ins by Matt Breida (an undrafted free agent). But in Cook they put some significant draft capital into the RB position. With Josh Allen moving this offense down the field, whoever is the starting RB should get a lot of red zone opportunities and potential touchdown looks. Cook hasn’t been generating as much fantasy buzz as some other second-round RBs. Is that a mistake?
