Not too many draft classes have several small-school wide receivers in the mix for top-100 (Days 1 and 2) NFL Draft capital, especially in recent years. In fact, there have only been three receivers selected that early in the last three NFL Drafts who didn’t play in Power Five Conferences (SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC 12). However, the 2022 wide receiver class could be an exception. There are currently six Group of Five conference (small school) receivers currently projected to be drafted somewhere in between picks 75 and 108 according to the Grinding the Mocks tool that pulls from around 1000 mock drafts.
