In this short RotoViz series, Zachary Krueger looks at fantasy playoff tactics and helps you think through scenarios that could pay off in second-chance tournaments.
Shawn Siegele and I used the RotoViz best ball tools to build a couple of FFPC Tournament teams for my best ball series this summer. Although we didn’t win the big money like several other RV squads, one of our two teams advanced to the tournament and provided a nice return on investment. We’ll have a lot more best ball content again this offseason, but today I’m taking a detour to look at fantasy playoff tactics.
Many of the big playoff tournaments began last week, of course, but this series has three actionable elements:
- Look at the scenarios and decision points that could bring a title in the FFPC Playoff Challenge 2.
- Build an understanding of tournament play and how to construct the types of teams that can win in multiple formats.
- Introduce a unique and ridiculously fun contest format that’ll you want to run as your home league next year.
And what is that format? Let me introduce you to the Orchard Park Fantasy Playoff Challenge.
