Bjorn Yang-Vaernet reviews Ja’Marr Chase’s rookie season through the lens of comparable Year 1 wide receivers and shares a very early 2022 outlook.
Ja’Marr Chase entered the 2021 draft as one of the most well-rounded, bulletproof wide receiver prospects. The only knock on Chase was the fact that he opted out of the 2020 college season, so it was unknown if he had gotten any better during his break. Initially, Chase struggled with some drops in the preseason, but that issue was blown out of proportion and wasn’t a big problem during the season.
