Conor O’Driscoll uses the RotoViz suite of tools to identify opportunities to buy low on players likely to post strong fantasy performances, and to help you see red flags before your opponents notice. The Strength of Schedule (SOS) Streaming App is particularly useful for this as it allows us to see which players have the easiest or most difficult upcoming schedules, a potentially league-winning edge.
Last week was strange for fantasy football: most of the high-flying offenses hit the under on their Vegas implied team total. An unusual proportion of touchdowns went to players not on the fantasy radar. D.J. Moore was again a victim of the Carolina Panthers’ absolutely anemic offense. The Panthers’ passing attack is highly unlikely to stay on the absolute floor which lends plenty of upside. It was also encouraging to see Moore retain a strong opportunity share (WOPR of 72%) with Christian McCaffrey’s return. On the other hand, Mike Williams has continued his recent streak of weak target numbers. Comments from the coaching staff suggest this is a function of defensive coverage schemes taking away Williams. The schedule for both Moore and Williams should soften up down the stretch. They are both still worth buying at a discount.
Sentiment appears to have finally caught up to Justin Jefferson’s capped role. It was frustrating seeing Jefferson take an early deep target for a touchdown and then finish the day with just 5 targets for a 19% target share. It may be harder to sell high on him now.
