Just when it looked like the topsy turvy 2021 season couldn’t get any wilder, the Houston Texans upset Tennessee on the same weekend that Jonathan Taylor and Austin Ekeler combined for nine touchdowns.
I have to say I’m grateful for all of it – the good teams and the bad, the high weeks and the low, getting to watch football and write about it on a weekly basis. On a week where our society focuses on giving thanks, I feel blessed to have an NFL season, to have fantasy football, and to get to share it with the RotoViz community.
One of my favorite parts of every fantasy season is watching the wave of new talent, and not just on the field. Bjorn Yang-Vaernet, Corbin Young, Conor O’Driscoll, and Michael Hitchcock have been fantastic additions to the RotoViz writing team. We’ve significantly expanded our data and tools offerings this season, and that quartet has been a big part of bringing it to you each week.
The Stars Shine at RB and WR, But the Young Guns Are Coming
RotoViz is the home of Zero RB, and we spilled a ton of ink on how to execute our WR-heavy strategies again this year, but RB evaluation is a key reason our Zero RB and Modified Zero RB teams flourish every season. From suggesting you build your team around Taylor, to pushing for D’Andre Swift and James Conner, we focus on the key players to make your strategy work, however you like to approach it.
Of course, even when you hit at RB, you need the WR flotilla to swarm opponents in the Flex position, and most of our RV squads have four of the top-10 WRs.
On our Monday edition of Stealing Bananas, Ben Gretch and I looked at how all of these pieces fit together and why the right approach will allow you to land league-winners and build high-scoring squads every season.
As we enter the most intense portion of the fantasy schedule, I’m thankful for games that matter. Now let’s jump into the biggest storylines of Week 10 and get ready to win those contests.
