Conor O’Driscoll uses the RotoViz suite of tools to identify opportunities to buy low on players likely to post strong fantasy performances, and to help you see red flags before your opponents notice. The Strength of Schedule (SOS) Streaming App is particularly useful for this as it allows us to see which players have the easiest or most difficult upcoming schedules, a potentially league-winning edge.
Calvin Ridley needed to take some time from football to deal with personal issues. Mental health issues can be as debilitating as any physical injury and we wish him the best. It’s uncertain when he returns to football, but there are certainly scenarios where he comes back in weeks rather than months. Every mental health issue is different, so comparisons to other players may not be particularly accurate.
Tee Higgins gave a solid performance against the Jets last weekend with 13.7 PPR points. Interestingly, despite the Bengals passing at a 71% clip, Joe Mixon was still heavily involved. He played on 76% of his snaps and saw 5 targets. However, Mixon did not register a single touch on 3rd down.[1]The Rotoviz Screener is the most accessible DIY way to find splits by down that I know of.
The Bengals obviously feel comfortable using Mixon extensively in a passing role on early downs. Their willingness to let Joe Burrow throw early and often means that role has value. However, the fact that he comes off on third down and obvious passing situations gives him a pretty low floor. That floor has not really been recognized yet so far this season as even when his snap share has dipped to 54% in Week 7 he scored a touchdown.
