I could not wait to get home and write this article today after I saw Dave Caban’s tweet about the amazing new tool that allows us to see all the stats Ben Gretch lays out for us in the best newsletter in fantasy football — Stealing Signals. We have three weeks of data now which will make this fun. I love using these types of stats for DFS because they are so great at helping identify players who may have huge ceilings that are going way overlooked.
As always in this column, I am going to identify the best game stacks of the week and what contests they make the most sense for. I will also try to help point out some leverage spots off of high-owned players that will help us reach the top of the leaderboard when the field is wrong on a high-owned player. Another thing I want to start putting in the column every week is a few mini-stacks I like, if you are new to this term a mini-stack, or as some call it a skinny-stack, would be two players from the same game that correlate and give you some extra upside in your lineup. Some examples would be a running back and his team’s defense or two pass catchers from opposing teams. I love the mini-stacks in all DFS contests but especially in small fields, which is what I primarily play.
