The NFL season is flying by. I can’t believe we are already to Week 6 which means we now have bye weeks, meaning we only get a 10-game slate this week. Last week, most of the chalk hit in a big way. Derrick Henry, Davante Adams, and Alexander Mattison were all chalk and had big games. If you faded this chalk you probably had a tough day. If you played it and were smart enough to play Justin Herbert or Tom Brady, you probably have some extra money in your pocket this week.
This week we still have Adams on the main slate, but no Henry. This week’s slate is looking like we are going to see very few if any high-priced running back options. Christian McCaffrey ($8800) appears to be questionable after not practicing on Thursday. I have a good feeling that most teams will start with Khalil Herbert ($4600) if Damien Williams sits and an RB in the $6K range. This is shaping up to be a big news slate, so I would not recommend getting set on a certain build until we have all the injury information. Tyreek Hill ($8500), Nick Chubb ($7200) and Kareem Hunt ($6200) missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
As always in this space, I will recommend the stacks I like the best and what constructions of the stacks make the most sense based on the types of contests they are being entered in. I put most of my money each week into very small field tournaments (300 people or less). I prefer these types of contests because I do not feel like it is necessary to get all parts of the lineup right. In these small fields, you may only need to get one or two things right to give yourself a chance to get to the top. For example, last week if you had the Brady/Evans/AB stack you were probably in really good shape to win a small field tournament.
